Client Testimonials

The Seacrest Pines Wine Club was fortunate to have Sharyn Kervyn host a presentation on French wines.  The theme was “Hidden Gems of France.”  The tasting also included small bites of authentic French foods that were paired with each of the wines.  The presentation was informative, educational, and interactive.  Sharyn’s impressive knowledge of wine was evident as she described the wines in detail; and with the small bites, she illustrated how food pairings enhance the wine-tasting experience.  Sharyn’s attention to detail and her prompt communication style made her a joy to work with, resulting in a hugely successful event!  The feedback from our club was overwhelmingly positive and we cannot wait to have Sharyn back to share her vast knowledge of wine and food pairings with us again!

I have known Sharyn Kervyn for many years and have worked with her on several American Wine Society (AWS) events for my chapter. Sharyn is professional, her attention to detail and knowledge about wine adds a special touch to any event she is involved in organizing. A memorable event was her diligently orchestrated limousine van-guided tour of several wineries that included beautifully packed lunches to enjoy between vineyards. It was one of our chapter’s best outings! I will continue to work with Sharyn for future AWS chapter events!

Sharyn is largely responsible for the most successful client event that I have ever put on. She has an impressive knowledge of wine and was comfortably able to interact with all in attendance. I continue to get feedback on how fun and educational the event was. Sharyn is a true professional with great people skills. If it’s anything related to wine, Sharyn is my trusted source

I have known Sharyn Kervyn since 2010. I find her to be an incredibly organized, knowledgeable, and personable person to work with. She is highly trained in all aspects of wine production, regions, and wine analysis. I have run the New Jersey and Pennsylvania state wine competitions for over 30 years and have asked Sharyn to judge in these competitions every year since 2010. I find her to be one of the best, if not the best evaluator of wines I have ever known. In addition, I have usually asked her to be a table captain during these competitions because of her professional, laid-back approach when working with other wine experts. I consider Sharyn to be an excellent resource for anything pertaining to wine and I look forward to working with her in the future. I highly recommend Sharyn to anyone looking for someone with wine expertise.

I have known and worked with Sharyn Kervyn for many years. First, as an AWS Certified Wine Judge (I teach AWS Wine Judge training – year 2) and over the past several years in her role as a Judge at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition (FLIWC). As Head Judge for the FLIWC, it has been my responsibility to oversee the competition including selecting Judges and organizing panels. Sharyn is an accomplished, collegial, and experienced professional who has made a substantial contribution to the FLIWC and AWS.

Sharyn Kervyn loves sharing her vast wine knowledge, her enthusiasm is contagious. I have known Sharyn for decades; she is a treasured member of the Dionysian Society International and many other wine organizations, where her skills are highly respected. Sharyn hosts tastings second to none, she is meticulous with the details. Her now-famous Madeira tasting seminar taught two dozen wine lovers everything they would ever need to know about Madeira. Even guests from Portugal were impressed. Her annual tastings to select wines for the American Wine Society’s (AWS) National Tasting Project are likewise planned to perfection. No one makes wine tasting more educational or more enjoyable. She is even noted on the Acknowledgements page of my book, “Wine for Intellectuals”. Even better than her warehouse of wine expertise is the fact she never stops learning. Sharyn Kervyn is a treasure in the world of wine.
